What does the AFS Office
actually
DO ?

The Al-Anon Family Services

Office provides these services in Middle Tennessee:

   Serves as an Al-Anon/Alateen Literature Distribution Center (LDC) for Conference Approved Literature (CAL)

 

   Is also known as the Al-Anon Information Service Office (AIS )

 

   Publishes & distributes the WHERE & WHEN directory of Al-Anon & Alateen meetings

 

   Maintains this Middle Tennessee Al-Anon web-site.

 

   Provides information to over 150 callers and visitors with questions about Al-Anon or Alateen each month

 

   Hosts monthly Intergroup meetings of Alternate Group Representatives, Alt GRs (also known as Information Service Reps or ISRs), open to any member

 

   Employs an office manager to oversee AFS business such as attend to callers/visitors and maintain inventory and archives

 

Money to support the AFS Office comes from the contributions of Al-Anon/Alateen groups and fundraisers held annually.
